On Sunday, 6 March a lot of GN table tennis players showed of their skills at the Forest Hill mall by playing exhibition matches, with the public watching on. It was a very successful afternoon, making the public aware of our sport and the competitiveness there off. Many thanks to Ahmed Waja for organizing this event and to the owners of the mall, hosting us free of charge.
During the Intellectually Impaired national championships, held in Port Elizabeth a couple of weeks ago, Pieter Starke from Gauteng North, was ranked in the top 4 of the Down Syndrome section after the tournament. Well done Pieter! Pieter (2nd from the right), with the other players that were ranked in the top 4.
